Abstract :
Clock division based on an optoelectronic oscillator is demonstrated at any data rate. Two important concepts, hold band and capture band, are described and the experiments show that the hold band is always broader than the capture band. Another interesting phenomenon is that the clock with low timing jitter was obtained from a degraded optical time-division-multiplexing data stream.
