Abstract :
By implementation of the modulation waveguide of a Mach-Zehnder modulator into an electrical ring resonator a recursive filter for optical signal processing is established. Owing to the sensing of the circulating electrical signal via the electro-optical effect the coupling losses of the resonator can be kept low. Experimental and theoretical results are compared
