Abstract :
A new improved design for coupled microstrip filters is proposed. The method is based on a new structure which replaces conventional quarter-wavelength coupled lines. The improvement is achieved by reducing effects due to the difference between the phase velocities of the two normal modes propagated on two symmetric coupled lines. This possibility is demonstrated on a basic cell with the help of analytical formulas
