Abstract :
The use of the decision matrix approach (DMA) to build consensus among individuals is examined. DAM is a simple tool that allows a planner to assess how different criteria relate to user requirements. It is a simple mathematical technique for comparing relative weights of multiple criteria in variable pairs and presenting the results in the form of a frequency distribution. This process works best when applied to decisions that require a major allocation of funds or have a potentially great impact on organizational performance. A description of the DMA method is followed by an example showing how it works.<>
