Abstract :
The paper describes the concept of using the ubiquitous personal computer, to enhance the operation of an HF broadcast receiver and consequently improve the HF broadcast service as a consumer related medium. The system software described has a top-down design principle. The authors discuss automatic station selection and data search capability, channels and bands in memory, spectrum analyser and timed operation
