Abstract
Parametric motors have many excellent features compared with ordinary single-phase induction motors. Since the parametric motor utilizes nonlinear oscillation, an anomalous rotating tendency may occur due to the instability of parametric oscillation. In this work, in order to clarify the phenomenon of instability and to produce a motor with excellent characteristics, the relation between stability and the phase angle of the resonance voltage was examined, and the flux distribution in the exciting core was investigated. The results shed light on the mechanism of operation of the anomalous phenomena. The results are used to demonstrate a method for stabilizing the parametric oscillation.
