Abstract :
Various potential tunable plasma photonic crystals have been generated by self-organization in atmospheric dielectric barrier discharge with two liquid electrodes. These periodic plasma column lattices can be modulated both in space and time, which are promising for flexible electromagnetic wave controller or optional optical switch. A special square lattice with a base is obtained for the first time, in which three disparate dielectric constants are modulated periodically. In addition, the changes of the lattice constant a for diverse plasma column assemblies with the aspect ratios of discharge boundary R are studied.
