Abstract :
This paper describes a microprocessor-based on-machine controller for the regulation of cigarette weight. Control analysis is presented using the linearized system response to an impulse disturbance. A technique for driving an ac servomotor via on-time outputs is presented. Anti-windup features of the control algorithm are discussed. Results from an operating maker are presented.
