Abstract :
A microprocessor-based incremental servo system with a variable structure is presented. It is implemented with an Intel 8085 microprocessor to control a dc motor, and fast response without overshoot and good steady-state accuracy can be easily obtained. The design procedure is described in detail. Also, the comparison with a conventional fixed structure system is given.
