Abstract :
A transistor logic memory module based on the Royer oscillator type magnetic multivibrator is described, in which six coils tightly wound around a HTcSC thin disk core are connected to two switching transistors. Oscillation of the module is initiated by applying a pulse current to a coil, and the phase of the oscillation is controlled by the polarity of the trigger pulse. That is, this module is a phase-memory type logic device similar to the parametron. Moreover, oscillation is terminated by applying a pulse current to a small transistor, which shorts another coil of the HTcSC. We can assign the numerical values ±1 to two oscillating states, and zero to the non-oscillating state. In this logic the output is determined by a majority of multiple inputs, so that this module should have applications in the field of neural networks.
