Abstract :
An original and accurate analytical model is developed for elliptical microstrip antennas. This model is based on a modified Wolff cavity model. The input impedance is calculated from an equivalent circuit with a rigorous probe model. Numerical and experimental results on the resonance frequency and the input impedance for different eccentricities of the ellipse are discussed
