Abstract :
An adaptive procedure is presented which estimates the eigenvalue of a system and calculates the coefficients of a discrete-time integration operator based on the estimate. The coefficients of the integration operator are chosen so that a stable transfer function results even though the simulation time step has been chosen independent of the expected range of values of the eigen value.
