Abstract :
This article discusses the UK´s wave and tidal power industry. It begins by reviewing the current state of the technology and refers to government grants and investment issues. It then considers market costs for the generated electricity, licensing, power grid connection requirements, and reliability. It concludes by outlining the financial requirements for such a technology to become commercially viable.
