Abstract
A general method for ultrasonic radiator synthesis based on a specified directivity pattern is developed. Approximate methods for acoustic field analysis and synthesis in the far and near zones are described. Comparison of the computed results based on these methods and on the exact approach, confirms their accuracy, simplicity and convenience.<>
