Abstract :
A brief biography of Bruno O. Weinschel is given highlighting his professional achievements. Weinschel had been a recipient of numerous awards, including the National Medal of Science (1986-1987) under President Ronald Reagan. He was also the chairman of the Committee on US Competitiveness for the IEEE in 1988. He was also an inventor and co-inventor, holding 20 US patents in state-of-the-art insertion loss microwave measurement. He was the author or coauthor of 52 technical journal articles.
