Abstract :
Wavelength dependent TE to or from TM conversion with 98% efficiency has been obtained using a periodic, strain inducing SiO2 film on an LiTaO3 waveguide. Electro-optic tuning of the peak wavelength from 616 to 680 nm was demonstrated.
