Abstract :
A four-channel InP MQW modulator array chip and singlemode fibre ribbon are passively aligned using an alumina tile with a laser-drilled precision hole array to construct an optical transmitter suitable for highly parallel reflective analogue interconnections. The transmitter operates at 1540 nm with an average loss due to packaging of 2.3 dB
