Abstract :
Fluxmetric (ballistic) and magnetometric demagnetizing factors Nf and Nm for cylinders as functions of susceptibility chi and the ratio gamma of length to diameter have been evaluated. Using a one-dimensional model when gamma >or=10, Nf was calculated for -1m was calculated for chi to infinity . Using a two-dimensional model when 0.01m and Nf were calculated for -1f and Nm were computed exactly using inductance formulas.
