Abstract :
A high speed monolithic WDM detector for 1.5 μm wavelength light is reported. Formed by integrating an InP planar-waveguide reflection-grating demultiplexer with a waveguide-fed p-i-n detector array, the eight channel WDM detector displays a bandwidth of 10 GHz for signals spaced at 3.6 nm in the 1.5 μm wavelength fibre band
