Abstract :
The accurate solution of field problems using a minimum-order (one unknown per node) boundary element (BE) method employing surface impedance depends on the accuracy of the impedances used. In the present work the coupling of this method to a finite element (FE) solution within the conducting region is described, which allows the method to be used for nonlinear eddy-current problems. Application to Problem No. 7 (symmetrical conductor with a hole) of the eddy-current workshop series is described
