Abstract :
Describes a novel formulation of the A-Φ method for solving general 3D transient eddy current problems. In the finite element method, the Galerkin procedure is used, the continuity of normal current density is assured by a surface integral calculation, and other interface conditions are naturally satisfied by the formulation. IEE Japan models are used to validate the calculation code based on this formulation
