EMC Spotlight

Hello Readers! The purpose of the new ??SPOTLIGHT?? column is to highlight the top downloaded papers from the IEEE Transactions on Electromagnetic Compatibility and Electromagnetic Compatibility Magazine, pre-selected based on the statistics of the IEEE Xplore digital library (http://ieeexplore.ieee.org), by presenting their corresponding abstracts. Thus, a balance of the top downloaded paper abstracts will be published quarterly, giving to the technical and scientific community the opportunity of being informed about the contributions of a wide range of EMC topics, their authors and affiliations, and making the EMC field better known. I should mention that 2014 marks the 50th anniversary of the IEEE Transactions on Electromagnetic Compatibility. As part of this important date, the 50 Most Referenced Papers of the IEEE Transactions on Electromagnetic Compatibility in 50 Years (1964??2013) were identified. They are presented in this issue by Prof. Farhad Rachidi ?? the Transactions Editor-in-Chief, and their related abstracts in this and subsequent issues of this column. In this first SPOTLIGHT issue, I would like to share with you twelve paper abstracts, concerning the 2012 period. They were chosen considering the current available Xplore data, and they cover a relatively large scope of EMC, which is emphasized by the related index terms of the papers. It should also be noted that, interestingly, some of these papers also appear among the 50 Most Referenced Papers of the IEEE Transactions on EMC in 50 Years.
