Abstract :
The problem of robust pole assignment for systems with structured perturbations is considered. Upper bounds on the perturbations of a linear, time-invariant, uncertain system are derived, ensuring that all the eigenvalues of the uncertain systems are placed in a prescribed region. A nonlinear optimization scheme is proposed for designing robust controllers. To avoid the complexity of calculating the gradient of the cost function, Powell´s method is utilized
