  • Abstract
    A coaxially fed microstrip antenna is analysed by using the transmission line model. The excited field under the patch is Fourier decomposed into its modal components. The influence of the higher order modes on the impedance behaviour and far field patterns is shown and illustrated for a particular antenna.
