Abstract :
The authors describe the plausibility of the use of the surface impedance boundary condition (SIBC) in the computation of the parameters per unit length of shielded and multiphase cables by the finite element method. Comparison with analytical results is given in order to illustrate the efficiency of the proposed approach, especially for high frequencies, in terms of computation time and the accuracy of the results
