  • Abstract
The characteristic impedances of various coaxial line structures with rectangular outer and inner conductors are computed by means of numerical inversion of the Schwarz-Christoffel conformal transformation. The results are compared with exact or approximate data reported in the literature. Good agreement is found whenever exact reference data are available, and the accuracy of several approximate formulas already in use is assessed. Numerical inversion procedures have proved to be an accurate, reliable, and general-purpose tool for the analysis of a large class of field problems
