Abstract :
The authors describe the application of a three-dimensional eddy current analysis to the eddy current testing for a PWR steam generator tube. A sinusoidal steady-state eddy current analysis code has been developed using an FEM-BEM (finite element method-boundary element method) coupling technique. A comparison is made of experimental and theoretically predicted probe impedance trajectories for a major problem in steam generator testing. The results show the feasibility of the analysis code in a practical situation
