Abstract :
The main purpose of this paper is to present a practical example on how various HVDC system controllers on a multi-infeed DC system can be designed to provide the interconnected AC system with an improved dynamic performance, a high level of operational flexibility and the maximization of the overall system loadability. The derivation of a controllability table that provides reliable information regarding how and where the DC link modulation would be more effective is presented. The importance of a coordinated design of the various controllers is analyzed
