Abstract :
A novel noise-canceling microphone was developed for compact video cameras. Simple in structure, this microphone system enables elimination of acoustic noise generated by a noise source just behind the system, as well as vibration noise. It is confirmed that it is possible to achieve high-quality recorded sound with the system, and that it can be applied to other cases where reduction of noise generated by a source near the microphone is required
