Abstract :
A threshold decision for code acquisition in direct-sequence spread-spectrum packet radio systems is described. It is shown that this scheme achieves lower false alarm probability than the acquisition scheme based on the Neyman-Pearson criterion, giving comparable performance for the detection probability
