Abstract
A class of Laplace transforms particularly well suited for transient analysis of capacitively-loaded coaxial cables with skin effect loss is considered. Algorithms for time-domain calculations are derived and some computed time responses are compared with experimental results. An advantage of a method based on an expansion of the time response in a series of functions G n(K) is that condensed analytical expressions useful for analysis and design may be derived from the formal expansions by truncating the time-domain expansions
