Abstract :
A helical traveling-wave deflection system for wide-band cathode-ray tube is considered. The system contains coaxial helices intertwined in a bifilar fashion. Besides external shields, internal shields are used. The model of the system, containing segments of multiconductor lines, is proposed. The retardation factor and input impedance of the system are considered. Possibilities to improve properties of the system are revealed.
