Abstract :
The inductance of ellipsoidal magnetic rods for which the exact solution is known is calculated by using complementary finite-element methods. From this calculation, the range of the analyzed region and the number of nodes with which calculation errors are less than ±0.5% are presented. The inductance of cylindrical magnetic rods for which the exact solution is unknown is also calculated. It is shown that the measured values lie between the upper and lower bounds
