Abstract :
This paper describes the knowledge transfer partnerships (KTP) programme by the Department of Trade and Industry. KTP aims to improve productivity and competitiveness and promote innovation with the UK economy by using the knowledge, technology and skills that reside within UK ´knowledge bases´. KTP ensures that companies employs the right candidate, with the right skills to do the job, and in doing so, creates a virtuous circle
