Abstract
The brunt of the European Emissions Trading scheme is being borne by the power sector, and, with growing concern surrounding climate change, that burden is unlikely to change. This means that both forms of emissions abatement, both internal and external, will only increase, with the value of emissions reductions that have been brought to market increasing along with demand
