  • Abstract
This book addresses what to do when your product fails one or more EMC compliance tests. In other words, what do you do to diagnose and fix the problem using simple and inexpensive tools and equipment? The book is very well organized, which makes it easy to find what you need. The first two chapters cover basic EMC concepts. Then there is a chapter on instrumentation (spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, near field probes, and antennas etc.). The next seven chapters (Chapters 4 through 10) cover the different types of EMC measurements. This approach makes the book very easy to use; just go to the chapter for the EMC test you are interested in and all the information you need to diagnose and fix the problem is there. Each chapter covers both troubleshooting at the EMC test lab and troubleshooting at your facility. The book begins with the assumption that you failed one of the EMC tests at a test lab and then you use the techniques.
