Abstract :
The transverse susceptibility of a multidomain uniaxial single-crystal is calculated on the basis of the Stewart-Lawton theory. In addition, the authors consider powders of such single-crystals with various degrees of easy-axis-alignment and the influence of the second-order anisotropy constant. Measurements performed on a barium-ferrite single-crystal are given for comparison
