Abstract :
The electromagnetic scattering of an obliquely incident plane wave by various metallic cylinders of different cross sections is considered, in the phasor domain. The cylinders are truncated perpendicularly to their generators by a metal plane. Exact solutions are obtained for several cylinder shapes. In particular, exact expressions for the surface current densities on the cylinders and on the truncating plane are provided.
