Abstract
Low-field loss in partially magnetized ferrites has important implications for the design of broadband circulators and other microwave devices. A quantitative theory of this effect has been developed that takes the inhomogeneity of the DC bias field into account. The theory is specifically applied to a calculation of the transmission loss for a microstrip line on a rectangular ferrite platelet
