Abstract :
An effective method for rotor resistance identification is presented for the purpose of improving the performance of vector control of induction motor drives. The method is mathematically derived from proper selection of coordinate axes and utilization of the steady-state model of the induction motor. The major advantages of the method lie in its simplicity and accuracy. A series of computer simulations has been performed with very satisfactory results
