Abstract :
The Technical Assessment Guide Information System (TAGIS) was developed to aid the production and use of the EPRI Technical Assessment Guide. TAGIS contains a computerized database and cost-estimating models that can be used to monitor and control data revisions and conduct sensitivity studies of technology cost estimates. The database contains over 90 technologies, 15 fuels, and parametric data such as interest rates and the cost of labor. The motivation for developing TAGIS and its design and features are examined. A typical application is described. Suggestions for developing other technical/cost databases are made.<>
