Abstract :
An approach to the seismic qualification of standardized gas-insulated substations (GISs) is presented. Starting from experimental and analytical activities performed on standardized metal-enclosed primary distribution substations (170 kV), a methodology suitable for lower (MV) and higher (EHV and UHV) voltage ranges is defined, taking into account the site characteristics in terms of seismic severity and soil properties
