Abstract :
We report on the experimental investigation of supercontinuum generation by propagating subnanosecond pulses at both 1064 and 532 nm in a nonlinear microstructured optical fiber. We accurately study the influence of several parameters such as input power, polarization state, and fiber length. We clearly show the nonsymmetrical role of the two pump waves on the spectrum build-up and the strong impact of group velocity
