  • Abstract
    An electrostatic focus and deflection camera tube has the following advantages: no bulky yoke is required as all the electron optics are inside the tube, power consumption is very low, and the scanning rate can be varied. Several all-electrostatic camera tubes have been reported [1] [2] [3], but none of these tubes is currently in general use.
