Abstract :
A 12-inch LCD module with 640 x 200 picture elements has been developed. The module is designed to replace CRT monitors; it has a separate video signal CRT interface circuit, and its aspect ratios of both display area and dot size are very similar to those of CRTs. It can display not only graphic patterns but numerals, alphabets and symbols up to 25 lines x 80 characters (2,000 characters).
