Routh approximations using the Schwarz canonical form

Reduced-order models are derived using the Schwarz canonical form description for the high-order system together with the Routh stability criterion. The reduced models have the property that they will be stable if the original high-order system is stable. Further, the initial time moments of the system and model are equal.
