Abstract :
The suboptimal periodic state of a chemical reactor which is unstable under open-loop control is realized and stabilized by applying a simple closed-loop relay control. The method of return state difference in which the computer simulation technique is effectively utilized is developed and used for the stability analysis of the relay control systenm.
