Abstract :
An MPEG-2 codec LSI with the audio accelerator for an MPEG-2 codec system has been developed. The audio accelerator assists audio codec processing on the host CPU and enables one to use a low-frequency host CPU and contributes to realize the compactness and lower power consumption of the MPEG-2 codec system.
