Abstract :
An online monitoring system, the distribution disturbance and interruption monitoring system (DIMS), for measuring system-wide levels of momentary disturbances and interruptions of voltage is described. Data from the monitors are stored up on a personal computer and are used to correlate interruptions and disturbances with suspected causes. The data collected over a period of two years are analyzed in terms of the number, rate, and severity of events
