Abstract
Pluggable high voltage feedtroughs lead voltage or sensor signals from superconducting magnets that are located in the cryostat vacuum, to the data acquisition system. ITER issued a call for tender for the production of such high voltage feedthrough prototypes with a maximum test voltage of 56 kV. In the frame of an ITER contract, KIT and the company ODU connector systems (Mühldorf, Germany) have designed, constructed and tested prototypes of high voltage instrumentation feedthroughs for the ITER magnets. Four feedthroughs have been successfully tested with maximum voltages of 56 kV dc and 35 kV ac peak. In addition the feedthroughs have been Paschen tested with 35 kV dc. Details about design, construction and successful testing are given.
